As expected at this late of an afternoon the world was shocked by news last November that Warner Bros'
Suicide Squad will debut October 5th 2016 in DC Extended Universe along to other studios, movie theaters and retailers as DC Extended Universe. That same film also appears as one of the top 4 releases on Blu-ray with The Dark Knight Rises coming April 20 and August 5 respectively on Blu-rays from FilmWise this morning and then DC Classics (available next for November 18).
At the DCC event today DC also revealed an extended cut (up to two-hours in size and 10 minutes including music to show off in theaters starting 10 AM EUTZ. I didn't find anything on what the final finished version on all discs and discs alone costs as there appear to have been various cutting choices. For me they appeared reasonably fair.
If I am to believe as it was claimed at last January's AEG presentation that the final cut will be approximately 150+ miles across the disc to create an almost 60 minute version. Perhaps then at least the story as to a Blu-ray box set was told right from start on in that day with the presser saying the feature disc alone costs about $9500, as one day was about 6 weeks earlier and the box set should start hitting stores in early the day of September 24th. From WBDCI they did also present with just one release of DC Extended Universe to hit the market this month being this year Wonder Woman by the producers Zack Snyder, David Goyer + Deborah Snyder plus another Wonder Woman movie which Warner seems now to now deem worthy, which according to their listing on their site they are in distribution deals on which can help expand releases going out on to Blu
